Linda Perry

“Linda Perry”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I hear your voice,
I see your truthful eyes.
They both reflect,
A soul who never lies.

Linda you are,
My sweetest kind of berry.
You are an eternal lady,
I would like to marry.

We would live together,
In a God given spell.
Introduce love,
And erase our Hell.

Stroll the hours,
That last forever.
Through the universe,
And we would never.

Never hurt one another,
Just love like a flower.
Make love on a sofa,
Make love in the shower.

But you feel misplaced,
Like a spaceman at earth.
It has all been destined,
Before our birth?

I don’t know Linda,
I give you my heart.
And that is the most precious,
Of all art.

“Linda Perry 2”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I saw you in a dream,
Man it was real.
We were in a tivoli,
Riding the wheel.

The wheel of fortune,
The wheel of us.
Kiss one another,
On a bus.

Roll our eyes,
And laugh in joy.
Childish as every,
Girl or boy.

Holding hands,
Running across the lawn.
In the middle of the night,
We sing about the dawn.

“Linda Perry 3”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I think you would,
Like me Linda Perry.
I would ease every burden,
You have to carry.

I would caress your face,
With a flower from God.
And you would feel magic love,
In your blood.

We would lie at the beach,
Of everyday life.
I would hug you daily,
Because you are my wife.

We would eat a burger,
Crack some jokes.
Laugh at grumpy,
Man who mopes.

Enter evening,
Soul in soul.
Dear Linda, my dear,
You fill up the hole.

Truly.

“Linda Perry 4”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I saw you smiling,
With both of your eyes.
Feel my love,
No one denies.

Jump the bone,
With a holy touch.
You are a beauty,
You mean so much,
To me.

“Linda Perry 5”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

We enter the stage,
They all call life.
As husband,
And wife.

We wave to the world,
Blessed from above.
This is real Linda,
This is love.

“Linda Perry 6”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I bow down,
You are my muse.
This world is evil,
It does abuse.

I will make you,
Feel home in my heart.
You will long for me,
When we’re apart.

We float through space,
But got our feet.
Wake up in the morning,
In the most loving street.

“Linda Perry 7”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Close your eyes Linda,
Open your heart.

I know how to unlock it,
It’s simple,
Just be,
Just become Linda.

I miss you for ages,
I want to have you in my pages,
In my story of life,
Wife.

Would be,
If fate let it become.

Never too late,
In this fate.

I have faith.

“Linda Perry 8”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I’m not a lady killer,
I’m a lady filler.

I will fill you up,
So your heart overflows with joy,
In an endless way of being.

The morning, smiling,
Laughing at the bedside.

Enjoying the mystery, we both understand,
Is not understandable.

Simple life,
Is a move of an ocean,
A gift from God,
To one another.

Why bother?

What people say,
Without a voice?

Our voices is an angel’s dream,
Come true,
Because of me and you.

You know that, for sure,
Our love is a cure,
That will endure, forever.

Amen.

“Linda Perry 9”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You said,
Be kind.

Don’t be blind,
Shine like me,
Though your sorrow,
That is revealed in your sad,
But loving true eyes.

Your eyes,
Never die.

They are your soul,
Therefore they are eternal.

You are never ending Linda,
You are eternal.

Hold my hand,
In the sky, fly among the stars,
The moon and the sun.

Imagine we are a spacewoman,
And a spaceman,
Throughout eternity.

Our eyes are like stars,
Our hearts like the moon,
And the sun.

I kiss you forever,
In the double mystery,
Life and afterlife.

I got no words,
Only light Linda.

I love you.

“Linda Perry 10”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I see you lie down,
Feeling hollow,
You cry like your tattoos.

I can’t erase your tears,
But I will change your tears of grief,
Into tears of joy.

It is possible,
Love does miracles.

So true Linda.
So true.

Especially for you.

“Linda Perry 11”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Angels,
Watch over your sleep,
Where you dream so deep.

The deepest visions,
Of the kindest love.
Manifested with a voice,
That comes from up above.

I will hug you good morning,
I will hug you good night.
I love you too much,
To pick a fight.

Angels gave you the purpose,
In the dreams of your night,
Full of light.

“Linda Perry 12”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

We walk sane,
Through the rain.

All the other birds cry,
We fly,
On a magic carpet,
Of eastern and western love,
We show the connection of all,
In our every call,
For unity.

All the other birds,
Listen,
Finally.

Healing is possible.

“Linda Perry 13”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Everybody thinks you are,
Full of yourself.

Yes, you are,
But in a humble way.

But you tell me you are hollow,
And cry out «fill me up».

Those tears make me cry Linda,
Your tears are mine tears too.

Joy is closer than you think,
The cello cries again.

You lie at the floor in front of me,
The killing floor.

I hug you and I say,
I am here,
You are here too.

Love.

“Linda Perry 14”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

It is not any illusion,
All that you see.

I see it too.

It’s tough,
But we are tough,
Then we manage.

I could kiss your forehead forever,
And I could kiss your lips every day,
Every night,
In the light of true love.

“Linda Perry 15”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You realize you are the moon,
I realize I am the sun.

We belong together,
We are dependent on one another.

We are life,
We are poetry.

It is a better life for us,
Us.

We are all the things we’re looking for,
Linda and Robert.

Married into the sky of forever.

May be.

Just a dream Linda.

“Linda Perry 16”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

From a distance,
Your silent eyes,
Tell me that you are pure love.

How come you managed to be so kind,
In this wicked world?

I see the sea of God,
In your eyes.

I see infinite depths,
In your eyes.

This is very rare,
An angel among ordinary people.

I’m in awe,
Each time I see you,
Linda.

These poems are inspired by Linda Perry, born April 15, 1965—the iconic singer of the legendary band 4 Non Blondes and a powerful artist in her own right through several brilliant solo albums. She is a true singer, possessing a rare, authentic quality that feels as though you have to go back to the 1960s and 1970s to find its equal. In spirit and presence, she stands alongside artists like Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, and Grace Slick.

I have always adored this extraordinary woman. These poems are expressions of daydreaming—much like the kind Linda captures in “Spaceman” by 4 Non Blondes—wandering, reflective, and filled with imagination.

“Linda Perry 17”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I see space, because I’m a spaceman.

This planet is a tivoli ship,
Of love and energy.

I see you see that,
Under your cool hat.

“Linda Perry 18”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You are all the things I’m looking for,
Yes, I got myself,
But I need a lover,
A loving lady of living,
The enormous mystery.

We lie on the grass,
Smile like the sun,
You dream like the moon,
I shine like the sun.

Both of us,
Embraced by God.

“Linda Perry 19”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I remember me 22 years,
You 27 years,
We,
Eternal.
No numbers,
Just flowing love,
In the tivoli Garden of Eden.

Blessed.

“Linda Perry 20”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Close your eyes,
Dreams float,
They materialize the moment,
You open your eyes.

I did so too.

We are two,
But one.

“Linda Perry 21”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I’m tired of the world,
So are you,
But we manage.

We may meet,
If fate wants that to happen.

I see you soon,
My dear moon.

“Linda Perry 22”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I know you are scared,
Of this thing called human race.
But I can offer you,
A warm embrace.

Everybody is not looking,
For bigger, faster, better, more.
Look into my eyes,
And I will open the door.

The door to a playful,
Living of life.
We rest in our idea,
Of husband and wife.

These dreams of ours,
Give us eternity at heart.
We understand what is,
Beyond all beautiful art.

“Linda Perry 23”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I look good in a hoodie,
You look hot in a hat.
We are both models of freedom,
And that is that.

We fight with our personas,
We fight with our words.
We know the way,
Of the God given birds.

Freedom. not jailed,
Blessed by the light.
We trust each other,
In this world of a night.

“Linda Perry 24”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

The only place,
I want to be.
Is inside your eyes,
And feel a sigh of relief.

I lost it all,
You are the only thing left.
Because I love your eyes,
In my chest.

If I were to meet you,
We would never part.
We are the only ones left,
That live from the heart.

“Linda Perry 25”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Your eyes do not come,
From a place of nowhere.

You are the mirror,
Of God’s love.
You come from him.

I’m not saying you are perfect,
But I see extremely rare divine,
Goodness in your eyes.

“Linda Perry 26”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

That tattooed tear in your face,
I cannot erase.

But I can transform it,
From a tear of sorrow,
Into a tear of joy.

I believe so.

“Linda Perry 27”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

If I were to kiss,
Your beautiful lips.
I would say to you,
You are the hottest of chicks.

If I were to hold,
Your tender hand.
I would lead you to,
Another land.

The land of joy,
The land of love.
Feel the sun and rain,
That come from above.

Dance, laugh,
Mourn and cry.
We would live forever,
Never die.

Dear Linda a letter,
I send it through space.
I would like,
To touch your face.

Here I am,
Forever and not.
You have always,
Been in the spot.

Wear your hat,
Wherever you shall be.
I will make love to a women,
Liberated and free.

“Linda Perry 28”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Take a chance,
On a boring dude like me.
I give you problems,
That will never be.

I would love you,
From the morning to night.
And in the darkness,
I will show you light.

You know I’m experienced,
In a large degree.
Things ain’t that difficult,
Just let yourself be.

A rose for tomorrow,
A rose for today.
Give me a chance,
If you may.

“Linda Perry 29”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

That cool rhythm,
Of rock ‘n roll.
Hits me deep,
In my soul.

I don’t mean the music,
But your songs from your eyes.
I will show you love,
Is Paradise.

I will not hurt,
I now know life.
I have been there,
Endless strife.

So, jump and shout,
Glad to be.
Never grow old,
Then you will see,
It all.

“Linda Perry 30”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Today is such a great day,
To love all and everything.
Today is such a great day,
To be a Queen and a King.

Tonight is such a great night,
To have a cozy time.
Tonight is such a great night,
To create a loving rhyme.

Tomorrow is a place to be,
A key I got by hand.
Tomorrow is a place to be,
In a different playful land.

“Linda Perry 31”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Let us age forever,
Together,
And say always,
And never say never.

This tivoli dream of mine,
Works better than wine,
I don’t think with my mind,
I just speak as I shine,
For you.

Crazy, nuts,
Coffee cups,
Morning smiles,
Nighttime laughter,
We know what it’s all about,
Linda.

Playful forever,
Never say never,
Let’s bump the bed,
Until we’re dead,
That’s what you read.
Let’s wed.

“Linda Perry 32”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You come from a cold place,
With a true face,
Of warmth and divine love.

You may look hard,
Surviving is it called,
But you are not cold,
You just protect yourself.

Your eyes tell tales of fear,
How it is to be here,
But you manage.

I wish you could crash on the couch,
Of mine,
And rest in my love for you.

I would give you a shot,
Because you are hot,
In the spot,
Of honesty.

Be proud,
Be loud,
Awaken the crowd.

Here I am.

“Linda Perry 33”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You dropped a pill,
Which stopped,
Contemporary tears.

You got the chill,
Which topped,
All chronic fears.

Dropped another pill,
Which chopped,
Away fears and tears.

Only for a brief time,
It led to sadness in a rhyme.

I hope this passed,
And is past,
I want you to last,
Linda,
Take care.

I care,
Because you gave me,
A true woman’s voice,
Of forever but brief,
But you will gain,
The returning,
Of pure loving power,
In voice,
And soul.

Don’t be sad,
Mad,
Bad,
Be glad,
I have lived this verse,
In this universe.

Your love,
it’s possible,
Your spaceman.
