“Adriaantje”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You were a human who,
Did right and wrong.
But you are the one,
That taught me this song.

The song of real life,
Wisdom day to day.
Nurtured my soul,
You taught me how to pray.

I realize this today,
Now that you are gone.
Of all people I know,
You were the most special one.

You gave me this life,
Thank you forever and more.
You showed me life is Eden,
You opened up the door.

“Adriaantje 2″

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I was born,
Mom and dad were proud.
You held me so close,
The angels singing loud.

Another human born,
These angels blessed my soul.
I was born in Eden,
And I felt totally whole.

My fate is already written,
Every little twist and turn.
Life did teach me everything,
I could possible learn.

“Adriaantje 3″

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I was in your belly,
Strange it is this world.
I was born to live,
An adventure would unfurl.

This trip I mean it totally,
This crazy world is cool.
I was kind of different,
I’m blessed the holy fool.

“Adriaantje 4“

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You fought for me,
When my life became Hell.
I had my reasons,
But life treated me unwell.

We came close together,
Through all, this journey told.
You will always live forever,
You are young now, no more old.

Wait for me in Heaven,
With father by your side.
Both of you are forever,
You have never died.

Eternity belongs to all,
For me and for you.
We all know that God,
Is fact it is really true.

“Adriaantje 5″

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Holidays were holy days,
Every moment I did praise.
Sunlight, warmth in every day.
Alive, adventures came my way.

Sun is showing beauty is.
Every day was a magic kiss.
I did experience the deep blue sea.
I was happy, I felt free.

Memories they are vivid now,
I feel them deep within.
I was a kid in Eden’s realm.
That still does overwhelm.

“Adriaantje 6″

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Life is strange,
Now that you’re gone.
I think of you,
You gave me the sun.

The sun I got,
Deep inside.
You said,
“Show it, don’t hide”,

Years have passed,
I still do shine.
Thank you,
For the words of thine.

“Adriaantje 7”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I got your eyes,
Shining light.
That strength you gave,
To me this night.

Collect the stars,
They turn into a sun.
Shine on all,
Like me my son.

“Adriaantje 8”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I remember you wanted,
To slide into the water.
But you remembered,
That you were God’s daughter.

We had you for years,
For me that is eternity.
I noticed a star up there,
That only I can see.

It is you in Heaven,
In the staggering place.
I close my eyes,
And picture your face.

“Adriaantje 9”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You lived in number nine.
The view you had was fine.
You loved the apple tree.
When autumn came to be.

“Adriaantje 10”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You were sad when I was sad.
You gave me the strength to be glad.
You know and knew, I had a fight.
The matchstick sun, was my light.

I told you the summer in 1991.
I felt God’s Kingdom had come.
Everything was more than nice.
You, father, me, in Eden, Paradise.

“Adriaantje 11”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You are too grand,
To vanish and die.
See you again,
No goodbye.

In Heaven,
Is a place to be.
I will always cherish,
Your memory.

“Adriaantje 12”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

The Indian summer,
Of love, 1991.
Ole-Petter named me,
The son of the sun.

Everyone I loved,
Was alive.
I could see God,
Did enjoy and thrive.

All was good,
All was God.
I understood this is Eden,
Father did nod.

Memories,
Do never fade.
Stay in the light,
Not in the shade.

“Adriaantje 13”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I have understood,
How grand you were.
Now when you are,
No longer here.

Thanks for all,
We shared together,
There were days of sunny,
And rainy weather.

Forever to be remembered,
Your earthly days are gone.
I want to show my poems,
About you to the sun.

“Adriaantje 14”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I wish my mother,
A blissful eternity.
Where every dream,
Came to be.

I hope that Heaven,
Exists in the sky.
Knowing that we all,
Will meet when we die.

“Adriaantje 15”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

God’s Kingdom,
Have you climbed onboard?
Are you in Heaven?
Have you met the Lord?

Mother, do you know,
Eternity.
Is Heaven true?
Where will we be?

Are you showing,
Signs I do not see?
Is it in Heaven,
We are truly free?

Mother, thank you,
Forever I do.
One day,
I might come to you.

“Adriaantje 16”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Are you in Heaven?
Free as a feather.
Just enjoying,
The beautiful weather.

Always smiling,
Never cry.
Do we survive,
When we die?

Mother where,
Are you at?
Now you know it all,
You told me that.

Are you still,
Vibrant and real.
I grab my Jesus,
Bend down and kneel.

“Adriaantje 17”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

In front of your home,
Is an apple tree.
«This is Eden»,
You told me.

You poured water,
Over thirsty flowers.
Talked to them,
In sunny hours.

You liked to sit,
And watch all life.
In times of joy,
In times of strife.

I miss these days,
Where have you gone?
You whisper from the sky,
“I am inside the sun”.

“Adriaantje 18”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Your time on earth,
You taught me well.
You must be strong,
In this earthly Hell.

Always unrest,
You lived through war.
But life came in,
You opened the door.

You were realistic,
But also deep.
Your sharpened wisdom,
Was never asleep.

“Adriaantje 19”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I close my eyes,
I hear your voice.
It gives me silence,
In all this noise.

I close my eyes,
Envision your eyes.
Eternal deep,
Always wise.

I close my eyes,
I see you now.
Life is very strange,
I manage somehow.

I miss you now,
More than ever.
You live in the land,
Of the word forever.

“Adriaantje 20”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I remember you came,
With “svele” and cola.
Under the pandemic,
Days of corona.

We became friends,
The best indeed.
Friendship like ours,
All people need.

We chatted about,
Everything.
I miss you mother,
You made me sing.

This is a tribute to my dear mother. I hope eternity exists for us all, but you showed me that eternity blinks in every moment. You were always direct and on the spot. Yes, we all can find rights and wrongs. I’d rather focus on this life we all share.

In memory of my mother:

“Adriaantje 21”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You are a flower,
In eternity.
Heaven is,
A place to be.

Heaven also,
Is here on earth.
Though it’s tough,
From the day of birth.

But I say thank you,
In every way.
You gave me life,
You gave me the day.

“Adriaantje 22”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I remember,
You sang the psalm.
Deep inside,
I felt warm.

I sang to God,
From an early age.
God has written,
Every page.

“Adriaantje 23”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Strength is what,
You gave to me.
Fight for life,
And you will see.

Power deep ,
Inside of me.
Strong is the only,
Way to be.

I am alive,
Thanks to you.
I had my days,
Of black and blue.

“Adriaantje 24”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

We talked on the phone.
When we felt alone.
Talked about everything.
What our days did bring.
But all in life comes to an end.
Thanks for being, my best friend.

“Adriaantje 25”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

In the end of your life,
We talked about death.
What will happen,
At your last breath.

You said to me,
No one really knows.
What time will bring,
Only time knows.

Is there Heaven,
It might be.
Only the dead,
Will find out and see.

_______________________________________________________________________

“Adriaantje 26”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I talked to you,
At your death bed.
I will be ok,
That’s what I said.

I am still sad,
But I promised to be strong.
I appreciate the days,
That come along.

But I miss you dearly,
I still cry inside.
But something about you,
Has never died.

“Adriaantje 27”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You loved TV,
In your chair.
Every evening,
We found you there.

“Adriaantje 28”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

There is a sadness,
I do feel.
Life is true,
And death is real.

I miss you mother,
Every day.
I try to believe,
I try to pray.

These days I got,
Without you my friend.
Life is brutal,
In the end.

But life is life,
That’s what you said.
Do your deeds son,
Break the bread.

“Adriaantje 29”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You said about Heaven,
“It’s absolutely staggering”.
You have finally,
Met the King.

I believe you are,
At home in the sky.
I’m looking forward to meet you,
The day I die.

But it might be,
A thought too naive?
But I hold on to that,
I got to believe.

“Adriaantje 30”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You fought for me,
Under the burning sun.
I sometimes wonder,
Where did your strength come from?

I was unlucky,
It’s a life I didn’t choose.
I know the letters,
That form the word «lose».

But I fought together,
With you my friend.
Things are ok now,
Something did mend.

“Adriaantje 31”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

It is a strange life,
We come and go.
In the final end,
We will know.

Dear mother,
Are you a star.
Is Heaven close,
Or is it far?

We all will know,
You said in the end.
Is death an enemy,
Or is it a friend?

“Adriaantje 32”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I look at the stars,
It is a clear sky.
Are you up there,
With the most high?

Are you in Heaven?
Mother I pray.
Do we come to God,
At the end of the day?

We all live in hope,
It is maybe unreal.
But my dream can nobody,
Ever steal.

“Adriaantje 33”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I feel you got,
A Heavenly smile.
I will join you,
After a while.

There is something,
More that exists.
Behind the veil,
Camouflaged as mist.

I believe,
I will see you again.
People laugh at me,
Except you my friend.

“Adriaantje 34”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

They fixed my bathroom,
I lived in your place.
I got to know,
Your truthful face.

The face of your soul,
Was kind and true
We never quarreled,
When I lived with you.

We watched tv together,
Chatted in the night.
I said good night,
And you turned off the light.

You cooked nice dinners,
I was spoiled and enjoyed.
Our kind love would have puzzled,
Even Sigmund Freud.

We both enjoyed,
But respected our space.
They could have learned from us,
The so-called human race.

You never gossiped,
You were wise with your soul.
You were a nice old mother,
You had reached your goal.

Yes, times were hard,
But you stayed tough.
Even though the road,
Was bumpy and rough.

This memories of you,
Will always last.
I will always cherish,
These memories of the past.

Thank you mother.

“Adriaantje 35”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

Thank you for saying,
My poetry was nice.
You saw I explained,
The road to Paradise.

You even said,
I wrote like a pro.
This helped my self esteem,
It made me grow.

You even liked,
To read poetry.
Back in the days,
You were young and free.

You fought for freedom,
An intelligent feminist.
You fought with poetry,
Not with your fist.

“Adriaantje 36”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

In your last year,
You said cute “I am bored.”
You had always an innocence,
Which I adored.

When you spoke,
You sang with a melody.
You were joyfully,
Talking in harmony.

You could sing,
Pretty good.
I inherited your voice,
That is understood.

“Adriaantje 37”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

You were a nurse,
You were wise.
Helped the unfortunate,
Which paid the price.

You had morals,
Strong in your profession.
Because you believed,
Your work had a mission.

Be proud forever,
You had standards so high.
I am sure you get promoted,
In the realm in the sky.

“Adriaantje 38”

by Robert Moritz-Olsen

I envisioned you,
In Heaven in the sky.
I saw you in a temple,
You could fly.

You explore Heaven,
Angels do sing.
You have met God,
You have met The King.

I also wish,
To meet him who reigns.
Where all is joy,
No more death or pain,
